Concentration in Social and Behavioral Health Sciences
Thirty faculty members from the Storrs and Health Center campuses currently serve as Public Health faculty in the Social and Behavioral Health Sciences concentration. They advise, mentor, and provide resources and office space for doctoral students.

Dr. Thomas Babor is currently serving as the chair for this concentration. Thomas Babor, Ph.D., M.P.H., is professor and department head of Community Medicine and Health Care.

Concentration in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences
Twenty-one faculty members from the Storrs and Health Center campuses currently serve as Public Health faculty in the Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences concentration. They advise, mentor, and provide resources and office space for doctoral students.

Dr. Lawrence Silbart and Dr. Nicholas Warren co-chair the Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences concentration. Lawrence Silbart, Ph.D., M.P.H., is professor and department head of Allied Health Sciences in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and director of the Center for Environmental Health. Nicholas Warren, Sc.D., is associate professor of medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center, and ergonomics coordinator at the Ergonomic Technology Center of Connecticut.
