Full time faculty
and staff in the Division of Medical Humanities, Health Law and Ethics offices are located within the Department of Community Medicine and Health Care in Suite 260 at The
Exchange, 270 Farmington Avenue, Farmington, Connecticut. The Exchange is directly across the street from the University
of Connecticut Health Center main campus entrance. The directions below are to the Division's offices only. Seminar sessions are typically held in one of the University of Connecticut Health Center's upper campus buildings, consult the seminar series directions to the UConn Health Center.
Driving Directions to The Exchange
From Bradley International Airport
Follow Route 20 to I-91 South to I-84 West in Hartford. Follow I-84 West about 7 miles to Exit 39. Turn right at first traffic light onto Route 4 East (Farmington Avenue). At third traffic light, turn left to enter the Exchange complex. Proceed to the first stop sign and turn left into the parking area. Enter the Exchange building through the door for Building Four (see aerial map below). Proceed down the hall to the elevator and take it to the second floor. Our offices are in Suite 260 directly across from the elevator.
From Farmington Center
Stay on Route 4 East, Farmington Avenue. As you drive up the hill, toward I-84, stay in right lane and follow the road as it loops to the right and crosses access road to I-84. Continue on Farmington Avenue about 1/2 mile. Take Left at fourth traffic light into the Exchange office complex. Proceed to the first stop sign and turn left into the parking area. Enter the Exchange through the door for Building Four (see aerial map below). Proceed down the hall to the elevator and take it to the second floor. Our offices are in Suite 260 directly across from the elevator.
From West Hartford Center
Stay on Farmington Avenue/Route 4 West. The Exchange office complex is about 3.3 miles on the right just past the Mobil station and directly across from the UConn Health Center main entrance. Turn right into the Exchange from Farmington Avenue and proceed to the first stop sign. Turn left into the parking area. Enter the Exchange through the door for Building Four (see aerial map below). Proceed down the hall to the elevator and take it to the second floor. Our offices are in Suite 260 directly across from the elevator.
From Route 44 Canton/Avon
Proceed on Route 44 eastbound through Avon. Turn right onto Route 10 South/Waterville Road. Turn left onto Talcott Notch Road and continue to Farmington Avenue/Route 4 West. Turn right onto Farmington Ave; the Exchange office complex is a 1/4 mile on the right just past the Mobil Station. Proceed to the first stop sign and turn left into the parking area. Enter the Exchange through the door for Building Four (see aerial map below). Proceed down the hall to the elevator and take it to the second floor. Our offices are in Suite 260 directly across from the elevator.
From I-84
Take Exit 39. Turn right at first traffic light onto Route 4 East (Farmington Avenue). At third traffic light, turn left to enter the Exchange. From Northbound Route 9
Take Exit 32 (left exit) onto I-84 West and stay in the right lane. Take Exit 39 (first exit). Turn right at first traffic light onto Route 4 East (Farmington Avenue). At third traffic light, turn left to enter the Exchange. Proceed to the first stop sign and turn left into the parking area. Enter the Exchange through the door for Building Four (see aerial map below). Proceed down the hall to the elevator and take it to the second floor. Seminar Series Directions
The Community Medicine Seminar Series sessions are typically held in the University of Connecticut Health Center's upper campus buildings. Driving directions to the Health Center can be obtained on the Health Center web site. Proceed to the Hospital Information desk and tell the trained volunteers the room the specific seminar is to be held in and they will be able to navigate you through the building to that location.
