The Department of Community Medicine and Health Care is engaged in research on a variety of different topics relating to the fields of medicine, epidemiology, psychology, sociology, and public health. Our research and service projects are funded by federal, state, local and private sources including the National Institutes of Health (NIDA, NIAAA, NIMH, NIEHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the State of Connecticut Departments of Children and Families (DCF), Public Health (DPH) and Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), Arthritus Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the Marcy Foundation.
